Abstract

The tradition of manual registration during graduation ceremonies often leads to long queues, delays, and confusion for participants. This e-graduation application was developed using PHP with the CodeIgniter framework and MySQL/MariaDB DBMS. It was designed following the Unified Modeling Language (UML) approach, and the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology was employed to expedite the system development process. Features like QR Code Invitations are presented as unique codes in digital invitations during the registration process before entering the graduation hall. Testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method to ensure the smooth functionality of the application. Test results demonstrate that the system's functionality performs well with real-time recap management. Implementing this application not only accelerates the registration process but also enhances the comfort of graduates entering the hall, reduces the potential for human errors, and improves the overall experience of the graduation committee. Research results indicated a 98.73% attendance rate in the hall, equivalent to 310 graduates. The e-graduation application offers significant innovation in the efficiency of graduation events at Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia.
