ASKARA journal applies a strict policy against plagiarism and does not tolerate the use of ideas, words, data, images, visual works, or other intellectual materials belonging to other parties without appropriate acknowledgment or attribution. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism whether partial or complete, duplicate or redundant publication, and self-plagiarism (the reuse of substantial portions of an author’s own prior work without appropriate acknowledgment), whether in the same or a different language, may be rejected by the editorial team.

The corresponding author is responsible for the manuscript throughout the submission, evaluation, and publication process, as well as after the article has been published. The corresponding author acts as the representative of the other authors in communication with the editorial team and must ensure that all authors have approved the submitted manuscript and its publication in ASKARA journal.

Every manuscript submitted to ASKARA journal undergoes a similarity check using professional similarity-detection software. ASKARA journal sets a maximum similarity tolerance threshold of 20%. Manuscripts with a similarity level exceeding 20% will be returned to the author for revision and re-checking before they can proceed to the peer-review stage.

The results of the similarity check are not only determined solely on the basis of the overall percentage, but also taken into account by the sources and sections of the manuscript that show similarity. Similarity arising from properly written quotations, the reference list, technical terminology, or other sections that naturally exhibit similarity is not automatically regarded as plagiarism. Conversely, substantial similarity that is not accompanied by appropriate attribution may serve as grounds for the editorial team to reject a manuscript, regardless of the overall similarity percentage.
