ASKARA journal is published twice a year, in July and December. This publication schedule is applied consistently to maintain the regularity of the editorial process and provide time certainty for both authors and readers.

Manuscript Submission Periods
Manuscripts for the July issue are accepted during the period from January to March. Manuscripts for the December issue are accepted during the period from August to October. Manuscripts submitted outside these periods will still be processed by the editorial team but will be considered for the following publication issue, depending on capacity and the current review queue.

Stages of the Process After Submission
The editorial team provides an initial notification regarding the status of the manuscript, including the decision to forward it to the review stage, return it for formatting revisions, or reject it at the initial screening (desk review) stage.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening proceed to the peer review stage, conducted by peer reviewers appropriate to their field of expertise. Authors are given a specified period of time to make revisions based on feedback from the peer reviewers and editor, before the manuscript proceeds to final copyediting and layouting in preparation for publication.
With a scheduled submission period and a structured review process, every accepted manuscript is allowed sufficient processing time to undergo a thorough scholarly evaluation before being published in the July or December issue.

Processing Time
Based on the established submission periods and publication schedule, the average overall time from manuscript acceptance to publication ranges from 4 to 6 months. This period covers the desk-review process by the editor, the peer-review process by reviewers, revision by the author, and final copyediting and layouting before the article is published.
The editorial team is committed to maintaining this schedule consistently from year to year. Data on average processing time will be updated periodically based on the actual publication track record within the Open Journal System (OJS) of ASKARA journal, in order to provide prospective authors with a transparent overview.
