PREFERENSI KONSUMEN USIA PRODUKTIF SEBAGAI DASAR PENGEMBANGAN DESAIN PRODUK KERAJINAN SERAT ALAM

Abstract
Produk kerajinan berbahan serat alam menghadapi tantangan kejenuhan pasar akibat variasi desain yang terbatas, sehingga dibutuhkan dasar empiris untuk mengarahkan pengembangan desain produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan memetakan preferensi konsumen terhadap produk kerajinan serat alam sebagai dasar perumusan arahan desain, dengan fokus pada konsumen berusia 20–60 tahun yang memiliki penghasilan mandiri dan pengalaman membeli produk tersebut. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif melalui kuesioner daring kepada seratus responden. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa keunikan menjadi motivasi utama pembelian (83%), diikuti pertimbangan harga dengan alokasi dana tidak lebih dari Rp250.000 dalam sekali pembelian (49%). Sebagian besar responden (55%) bersedia melakukan pembelian di luar rencana apabila produk benar‑benar dibutuhkan. Untuk rencana pembelian berikutnya, kategori dekorasi rumah (35%) dan aksesori (31%) lebih diminati dibandingkan furnitur dan tableware. Jenis serat alam tertentu bukan pertimbangan utama (51%), namun kombinasi serat alam dengan kayu, bambu, atau rotan dinilai lebih menarik (52%). Mayoritas responden menginginkan warna alami (51%) dan menyukai desain dengan teknik anyaman kombinasi (26%) serta teknik lilit (22%). Penelitian ini juga memberikan rekomendasi pengembangan produk kategori dekorasi rumah dan aksesoris yang selaras dengan prefernsi konsumen usia produktif.
